This Year's Model Updates:

The Grand Prix underwent a redesign for 2004, but those familiar with the big sedan will find its blend of performance and comfort hasn't changed much.

Pros:
  • Strong supercharged V6, nimble handling, attractive gauges, easy-to-use controls, big trunk, fold-flat front-passenger seat.
Cons:
  • Build and materials quality still needs work, tight backseat, noisy engine, not enough storage or cupholders, no auto climate control.

I owned a Grand Prix SE before I bought the GT2. I was happy with the old car but when I test drove the new model I couldnt get over how much improved it was. The ride is better, the handling is better, it has better pick up and the styling inside and out is an improvement.

I JUST LOVE MY GRAND PRIX! I LIVE IN THE BUFFALO NY AREA AND THE CAR HANDLES JUST GREAT IN THE SNOW. HAVING DRIVEN A CARAVAN FOR THE LAST 10 YRS, I COULDNT WAIT TO COMPARE, I WILL NEVER GO BACK. THE GT2 HAS JUST ENOUGH LUXURIES TO KEEP THE COST AFFORDABLE. MORE THAN AMPLE TRUNK SPACE. THANKS FOR MAKING MY NEW CAR EXPERIENCE SO GREAT!!

Okay, after a week of ownership hopefully nobody would be completely dissatisfied with a $30k vehicle. I didnt like the Comp G rims at first but now I dont think I could live without them, sorta like the 35 aniv T- bird SC rims, it just goes together. I cant accurately tell about reliability at this point. But I can go over my first thoughts. The interior sets low. Its a sports car, accept it. On rough roads there is some interior noise. Its a sports car, accept it. I completely walked away from a BMW 330i on the free way, accept it!

I think the Grand Prix offers a lot of car for the money. the gtp handles great, plenty of power. Very comfortable and the car is very well built.

This car is everything I thought it would be. My last car was a Probe GT, so this car is much bigger, but still feels like it rides on rails. The back doors open to 90 degrees, that helps a lot when moving things in and out. Passengers like the roomyness of the back seat. I REALLY like the controls on the steering wheel, no fumbling with the radio/CD. You gotta try it. MUCH better than the 2003 GT model, more power, style.

the over all review of this car with some miner problems(fuel)it is a very sharp looking car eveyone looks and ask question everywhere we go. most people cant belive that it is a pontiac and then we show them the car they want to see more. if we where to go out today and look for another car i would drive to the next state to get one that has at least half of what this car has. we are very happy to own this car.

the Grand Prix is fun to drive with a nice new look to it. Only thing I dislike is that they made the back of it to resemble the Sunfire too much. From different angles it could look like an overextended Sunfire, and that would be considered a downgrade not an upgrade.
